Courchevel Village is situated at 1550m and is the lowest of the three Courchevel resorts. It is a popular destination for families being a quiet, peaceful area, away from all the noisy night clubs and bars. It has a mix of traditional chalet style buildings, large modern hotels and self-catering apartments which are spread out along the village’s main road.
The Freeride Republic catered ski chalet, Chalet Barragiste, is situated at the top of Courchevel Village, is in a serene and secluded area, providing high levels of privacy whilst conveniently close to the village centre.
In the winter it is easy to access the main ski areas and travel to other parts of the Three Valleys from Courchevel Village. It is linked to the main part of Courchevel (1850) by two lifts, a chair lift Tovets where you can connect to the Plantrey lift avoiding all the early morning queues at the main lift station in 1850, and the Grangettes Gondola which takes you to the main lift station in Courchevel, linking up to Verdons and Chenus lifts.
Courchevel Village is linked by a gondola and fast chairlift to Courchevel (1850), with blue runs back into the village. The gondola stays open throughout the evening until 12:30 a.m. so it couldn’t be easier for visitors staying in Courchevel Village to explore the night life in Courchevel (1850).
Courchevel Village is linked by a free bus service to Courchevel 1650, 1850, Le Praz and La Tania. This runs all day until around 10pm at night. The bus service runs every hour and links Courchevel Village to its neighbouring Courchevel stations. This runs all day until around 10pm at night – see timetable here.
The Aquamotion centre located just a 5 minute walk from our Chalet Barragiste is packed with features such as indoor and outdoor pools, a diving pool, surfing area with a spectacular wave, three lane water slide, wild water rapids, saunas, steam room, hot tub and climbing wall. There’s also a skating rink and fitness centre with gym, sauna and steam room in Courchevel (1850).
